CME Outfitters Selected to Develop Educational Series on Pediatric Enteral Nutrition
“Grand Rounds” format will deliver live education to 5 top U.S. children’s hospitals
ROCKVILLE, MD - August 17, 2007
CME Outfitters, LLC, (CMEO) an independent accredited provider of multidisciplinary continuing education programming and related healthcare communications services, has been selected as the accredited educational provider for a series of CME/CE activities focused on closed feeding systems for pediatric patients.
The series is entitled Reinforcing the Safety and Benefits of Closed Enteral Nutrition Delivery Systems: Focus on Pediatric Patients. CME Outfitters has received an independent educational grant from Abbot Laboratories’ Ross Product Division in support of this certified educational project, which is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2007.
This initiative will be delivered via a grand rounds format, so that participants will be able to learn within the clinical environments where they practice. Five of the top U.S. children’s hospitals will be selected as venues for this live national series. An enduring web archive of the presentation will also be offered and will be available at www.cmeoutfitters.com. The goal of the initiative is to provide in-depth, evidence-based education for key clinicians with an interest in pediatric enteral nutrition.
“CME Outfitters has identified an educational gap in this particular area of pediatric enteral nutrition,” said Karen Matthias, CMEO Director of Educational Project Planning, who will oversee the rollout of this CME/CE-certified series. “Our goal is to improve the performance of clinicians practicing in this important area. We’ll accomplish this by providing a curriculum that is highly evidence-based, then we’ll translate that data into clinically relevant take-home points so that participants can achieve sustained, measurable practice improvement.” For more information on this educational series, contact Karen Matthias at kmatthias@cmeoutfitters.com.
CME Outfitters develops and distributes live, recorded, print, and web-based educational activities to thousands of clinicians each year and offers expert accreditation services for non-accredited organizations.
